Introduction: We do the work the right way. According to code, using high quality materials, and not gouging the customer with add-ons or additional charges not discussed in the original scope of work. We have been afforded the opportunity to help others, even if that means giving up the work to the homeowner to do themselves. I will gladly explain to customers what needs to be done, especially on smaller jobs, and allow them to do the work themselves if they feel they are capable.

Kelly and Rob did a fine job renovating a small bathroom for me recently. They replaced the floor tile, the toilet, fixtures in the tub, and most importantly, turned the his-and-hers sink (which was just too much for a secondary bathroom) into a sink for one with marble countertops and a really nice custom cabinet with tower. Most of the work was done in a timely fashion, although we had to wait quite a while for the cabinets, as they were crafted by an outside carpenter. Also, the same carpenter put the wrong handles on the cabinets and getting him to come back to replace them (with Kelly being the middle-man) took too long. Being a two-man operation (with the occasional specialty worker brought in as needed) had its pros and cons, in my opinion. It was good because I knew exactly who was coming to do the work and didnt have a revolving door of random workers in my house every day. This allowed me to feel comfortable enough to give them a house key so they could come in and finish tasks while I was out. The downside, however, is that because its only the two of them, getting in touch can be a little challenging, especially if theyre working simultaneously on another job. So communication could definitely be improved, but as far as the work goes, Im pleased with the results.

RK Structures was hired to perform demolition and remodeling of my master bathroom. Demolition went as expected. Installed Clawfoot tub, shower, shower hardware, faucets, mirrors, towel holders and tile. This job took about 5 weeks to complete. New tile floors were put into place however the grout is beginning to crack already after only 3 - 4 months or so later. The edges built around the shower should have been finished with rounded edges or bullnose tile instead they were connected to a square edge. This makes the build look cheap and unprofessionally done. While remodeling the shower there was a pretty significant leak which went through the ceiling and into my kitchen downstairs. I was NOT happy about that. In a day or two Kelly sent someone out to repair however today I can see that there was a leak of some sort. There were a few small repairs to be made and I contacted Kelly to come out and resolve them, but he was not showed up. I expect a higher level of service after spending thousands of dollars on a project with someone, but lesson learned. Overall: The pricing was OK however, the craftsmanship of the work is below average and seemed like they were learning as they were going along. Would not recommend.

Not complicated. We give you a total for labor and materials UPFRONT. The only changes we make is if the customer wants more work done, or done differently than what we recommend initially. We will always itemize the cost if requested by the customer.

We are always researching new products and materials, and new ways of making things work.
