So I had Alexis Home Improvement come out to my home for a quote on a 8’x10’ concrete pad. The gentleman showed up at least 15min late and he spoke no English (not a big deal because I used a translation app to speak with him). He then took a look at the area and gave me a quote of $350 for the job and material. I agreed to the quote and asked him when they could come out and do the job. He said they could do it on Saturday, it was Thursday. I said ok and that I would give him the go ahead by the end of the day after I spoke with my wife. A couple hours late I texted him and with the go ahead. That’s when Alexis stopped communicating, completely ghosted. No text call or anything. I tried to follow up maybe 10 times over the next day and a half but by late Saturday morning I knew they weren’t coming. No apology, nothing! This is not the type of business that should be on thumbtack! Absolutely unprofessional in every aspect! Do Not Hire!

Dear Mrs. Ryan, We sincerely apologize for not being able to assist you as expected. During those days, the person in charge of applications was on medical leave due to health reasons. We understand your frustration, but we believe that giving us a negative review without knowing the full context is somewhat unfair. Out of the four professionals you contacted, we were the only ones who responded and even showed up on the same day of your request. As we mentioned, the weather conditions that week were not favorable for completing the work properly or safely. Additionally, we never agreed to carry out the project on Saturday, as there was no formal contract established between us at that point. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We decided not to move forward with the project because the professional who visited you informed us that you intended to pour a 2-inch concrete slab, which is not feasible. The minimum required thickness is 4 inches. Moreover, the price you mentioned only covered materials and did not include labor or other necessary costs. Thank you for your understanding. We wish you the best with your project.
