- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do for wood fences. Prices start at $20 a foot for 6' fences(standard stockade, board on board or shadowbox fences) and $30 a foot for 8' fences. Vinyl and aluminum are on a case by case basis due to the different varieties and types of fences.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually, it starts with an email, or call. Myself or my business partner will go meet with the potential new client to discuss what type of product they want and how much. We will then discuss specific requirements for the customer or special instructions. After that, we head back to our office, type up an official offer sheet(invoice) stating exactly what materials we use and prices along with labor rates and email back to the client. If they accept, we agree on a start date and that's when we begin work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
None honestly. I've always been good with wood work and building fences became so easy to me because i love doing it. I figured with 20+ years in the navy, my work ethic and a business partner that has been doing this for over 10 years, we'd be fine. I have been building fences myself for the last 3 years as favors to friends, so I figured what the heck, let's start a company.
