FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Because of my deep desire to capture the truest image possible, I take online classes that challenge the different aspects of photography. There really is a LOT more to consider-than just pressing the shutter. I also mentor younger photographers. There is nothing like teaching someone something that keeps you on your toes!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was growing up, my family lost my oldest brother when I was 6. He was 16. Terrible tragedy. The ONLY way that my family had to keep Kelly's memory alive was by the photos that they had taken. When I was 12, I babysat for a mom that worked in her basement for all summer break.(50 Cents an hour back then!) By the end of summer, I had made enough money to buy something that I wanted. A Polaroid camera was what had caught my eye. Memorys are important; and I knew it then, like I know it today. I am the last remaining member of my nuclear family. Over the years, I ended up inheriting EVERYTHING that ALL of them had owned........The ONLY thing that I ended up keeping, was their pictures. That is all I wanted of theirs because THAT is all that matters-the memories. [and a few odds and ends!]
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Groups for Corporations, Bands, Headshots, Senior Portraits, Equestrian Eventing and Families, Maternity, Newborns & Commemorative Events consist of the majority of my work during the course of a month or two. Newborns and Families are my passion, but I have an experienced keen eye and work hard to capture the perfect shot for ALL my clients!
