Olivia is great. She is a very patient, kind, and knowledgeable instructor who challenges her students and helps them progress but at the same time is completely attentive, safe and knows when to slow the pace (literally!) She doesn’t only teach you to ride, she teaches you how to put on the saddle and bridle, how to communicate with the horse and how to care for and groom the horse. This is a great place to learn especially for anyone who plans to own a horse someday as she is very thorough. I am having so much fun learning here!!
My daughter started riding lessons for the 1st time with Hilary at Creative Growth Center when she was 8 years old. She only got to work with her for a year or so, but she absolutely loved the experience. We decided on lessons simply because she loved horses, but in return we saw a huge boost in her confidence and we even saw her grades improve in school. We love Hilary and miss her and the horses!

Pony Tail Acres offers riding lessons at our facility in Powder Springs in Cobb County. We are conveniently located just minutes from Atlanta and offer very reasonable rates. Sorry we do not rent horses for trail rides. Rate Schedule Group (Max of 4 students) $140/month, 1 lesson per week Semi Private (2 students) $155/month, 1 lesson per week Private (1 student) $170/month, 1 lesson per week Private (1 student/ single lesson) $45 Established in 2009, Pony Tail Acres offers English riding lessons for all levels of equestrians, from pleasure riders to advanced competitors, both children and adults. Our riding program focuses primarily on Eventing and hunter/jumper training. We have group lessons available and semi-private or private riding lessons can be scheduled at your convenience. During the summer, we offer a Childrens Day Camp and we also participate in the US Pony Club and Horsemasters program through Pony Tail Acres Riding Center. Our lesson program is what we like to consider a Total Rider program. The rider not only learns how to ride, but how to care for their horse and equipment. Each lesson is an hour long which allows for grooming and tacking. As the student progresses in the program the instructor will start to recommend coming early and staying late to have the student groom and tack outside of the lesson time so that more time can be devoted to riding. We have lessons rain or shine and during rainy days the lessons will be conducted in the barn and will cover horse and equipment care that normally we do not have time to cover during a the riding portion of the lesson. The instructors at our facility hand pick our lesson horses and match each student to the best suited horse. We pride ourselves in providing safe and personable mounts for our riders. Our program allows for students to show off their abilities through horse showing. The farm attends many hunter/jumper and combined training events throughout the year as well as clinics from other instructors. Please inquire about availability if you would like to take lessons on your own horse (negative coggins on site required). There will be no refunds for classes missed, no show or otherwise. For general questions about lessons, please contact Ashley at ashley at ponytailacres.org. To schedule lessons with Dawn Buis, please contact Dawn at dawn at ponytailacres.org.
