About a week ago, I rented a carpet cleaner from Home Depot and went over my carpets myself. I immediately noticed several areas that appeared not to have been cleaned at all. Those spots came noticeably cleaner with the rental machine, which makes me question whether every room was actually cleaned or whether the equipment being used was simply not powerful enough for a proper deep carpet cleaning.
I paid around $250 for the service and ultimately had to spend additional money and my own time cleaning the carpets myself. Normally, after my carpets are professionally cleaned, they look significantly better. Unfortunately, that was not the case here, and I feel like my money was wasted.

Before scheduling, I explained that I had dog hair and only one or two light stains. I was quoted $114 plus $48 for the stairs. When Christopher arrived, he immediately complained that the company hadn’t informed him about the stairs, then began trying to upsell me on additional services instead of focusing on the job I had already paid for.
The carpet was not cleaned thoroughly, and he did not take the time to ensure the job was done properly. I have used several carpet cleaning companies over the years, and this was by far the worst experience. Not only was the service poor, but their pricing is also significantly higher than many competitors who provide much better results and far more professional service.
I would not recommend Golden Touch Cleaning to anyone. Specifically, Christopher West of Carpet Obsession. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t even trust them to clean a dog house. Save your money and hire a company that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
