FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My initial quote to clients is a very rough estimate. My pricing is based on three important steps. During our initial interview, I determine project length and purpose. I then initially review the work to determine the extent of proofing/editing necessary. Finally, I will charge per hour (for example, a 10-12 page project) or bid the entire project (for example, an article, manual, thesis, book). More extensive projects such as editing a book manuscript, warrant payment plans.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Given my professional services may attract customers anywhere within the United States and overseas, I request initial contact be made by email and phone.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Nearly a decade of university education and voracious reading. Editing is largely a gifting, and in my case, I developed editing proficiency working for CTB/McGraw-Hill in Monterey, California.
