Our experience with Atlantic Movers was superb. We downsized, which could be quite a challenge. After reaching our new residence, we discovered that, due to size, some items had to be returned to the previous residence. With Atlantic Movers, that was no problem. Therefore, they stayed with us until everything was moved and secured. This was a great experience for us, and we would recommend them to anyone.

When i first spoke to them about the job, i was clear i had a light 3 bedroom home. I was told he had two trucks, 18 foot and a 27 footer. I told him i didn't think an 18 would carry everything but the 27 wouldn't be full, as said it was a light 3 bedroom. We both agreed on 27 foot truck. Billing? I paid a $145 trip fee to hold the reservation and was told it would be $145 an hour.
Now, i did my mental calculation. See, i had moved into that home just a year before. My belongings, with a three man team from another company, took about 2.5 hours to load and then unload and that includes three flights of stairs and a difficult entry at the new place. Where i was moving is an hour and fifteen drive away max so i figured 2.5 hours plus 1.5 drive time plus 2.5 hours. That's seven hours, eight tops. I was also told they would deduct their break times.
They were supposed to arrive at 9am. At 10 am, it took me multiple calls and emails to get a hold of anyone. I was told by someone in the office that the truck broke down and they had to rent a truck. The driver even called me, he apologized for being late and said they were stuck in traffic. Hmmm, my phone started he called me from a landline. Must have been a long cord!
So anyway, they show up at 11am with, get this, a 15 foot truck! The lead told me the boss had said they would need two trips. Remember, i am paying by the hour and it's a long drive.
So long story short, we had to make three trips. There are several routes and for some reason, even only driving 60mph, i beat them every time by half an hour. The first drive nearly an hour because they went a route that gps said was chocked down due to an accident.
It was what, around 11 pm before everything was done. They honestly tried to bill me 12 hours, they did take off two hours for the small truck but only after i complained. I was exhausted so just let it go at that but ultimately paid for ten hours + trip fee for what should have been a seven to eight hour job. Note, remember i arrived at least half an hour before they did with each trip in my slow old truck- no break times were deducted. Should have been at least 1.5 hours taken off for that also which i didn't realize till later.
If you hire them, get the size truck they will bring in writing. Also check GPS before the guys drive and you tell them what route to take because you are going to pay their drive time. I did log the times but was so tired but the end i didn't care then but definitely stopwatch them and the estimated drive times per GPS. You will end up paying hundreds more than you plan for.
All that said, they were polite. They couldn't read a label so no sense labeling boxes, they will put them wherever; I am still finding things in surprising places. One also smoked in the bathroom, want sure why, they could have gone outside.
