We have and are still having a terrible time with James. He talks a game, but they take no responsibility for thier incompetent workmanship and have incompetent and untrained subs doing work for them.They schedule various scopes of work and do not show and have no accountability practices. What so sad. It has been James verbally telling us when he will be there and never shows on the day he schedules.Then has the gall to not even call and apologize. I cannot express to you how hurt and disappointed my wife and I are at our dream of things being completed and feeling proud at our hard earned money was being spent wisely. People work to hard for thier money and for people like him. That will not stand behind thier work or even make time to fix it. Is bad buisness ! Make sure you think twice before you use this guy. They are totally incompetent at fixing mistakes !!!I'm in this field of work and I'm very knowledgeable at what the completion of work should be. I was referred to Fluent by a friend who also was having thier basement finished completely. Fluent started thier basement enclosure about aprox 2 weeks before they started our gut and remodel. Just FYI our friends that referred us had a bad experience as well and the work contracted was not completed as promised either. I hate to write a bad review about anyone and I'm as understanding and easy to work with, but this guy just has no desire or energy to leave things better than he found them. As God as my witness. Think twice before using this outfit.

We used Fluent for finishing our basement. While they were very prompt to get started, they started showing up less and less. Despite not coming on a regular basis, they insist on payments to stay on schedule and will threaten if you ask for them to catch up on the job before you make another payment.We were happy that we had been involved in building prior to this job because we were able recognize and to stop contractors from making large mistakes before they were made. Despite being told that our job supervisor would be by often to check in on the job, he was rarely present with subcontractors and had to rely on us to communicate the job progress or more accurately the lack of progress.There were too many mistakes to mention that we didnt have an opportunity to catch but the ones that stand out are: having 3 large mistakes on our floating shelves. 1 cutting a custom piece of wood shelving too short , drilling holes on the wrong side of the custom wood and installing the floating shelf brackets incorrectly which required the newly installed wallpaper to be reinstalled. Cabinets were set incorrectly and had to be reset. Wood counter tops were never sealed despite asking numerous times and being told that they were. Our beverage fridge was leveled with a folded piece of cardboard.We were contracted to have barn doors installed and they opted out of doing them.We were told in the beginning that we would have a schedule each week so we would know what to expectwe might have been provided a schedule the first week but Im not completely sure.Our flooring was unexpectedly installed while we were out of town so we arent sure if the concrete was cleaned properly prior to install.The job that was to take 3 months starting on Jan 13th. On April 8th we received a we will make it right statement from them. They were only at our house a total of two hours over the course of the next 16 days as our driveway camera revealed.They were gracious enough to accept that they could not finish the job and reduced the last payment by a few thousand dollars. Our final invoice was sent June 8th.So we have a unfinished job which has been very frustrating but we know that we will get it finished on our own one day soon.We will make it right was never made right.

What can I say?? Plenty!! Have you met me?? My family just moved into a new home recently. We thought of like 3 jobs for James and his crew to do. It ended up being way more than that. Flooring, kitchenette, screened in porch, patio, stairs with handrail, carpet, door locks, floor repair, electrical work, plumbing...need I say more? James was always so nice...answered every question and concern. He was prompt and kept his promised time frame. The work. Let's talk about that. Impeccable! His crew were professional...efficient and hard working. I have Fluent/James on speed dial for any other needs we have. Hands down, he's our guy and you won't be sorry if you need a great contractor.

Fluent Contracting is a family owned business. Before moving into my new house, Fluent helped fix up my home and added 3 amazing additions., Enclosing our old front porch to make a new room for my first baby. And The next year we added, another addition Of a new master bedroom Along with an additional bedroom Because we were expecting again With our second child. Everything was finished to perfection and in a timely manner. From perfecting flooring and all details inside our home to doing finishing touches outside of it too. Landscaping, stonework, & a concrete walkway to our front porch made it so homey. Throughout the years I have used Fluent contracting for just about anything you can think of Plumbing, Painting, Flooring, Landscaping, Deck editions, Gravel Driveway, Concrete & Stone work! All of this to say, I highly recommend Fluent Contracting!! They helped build the home I am raising my family in, and I will always be very grateful for that.
