We don't operate with a large overhead like the run of the mill tree companies. That's why we prefer smaller jobs as well as the larger ones. We believe everyone should get a fair price and not have to pay inflated prices. We're more concerned with earning your trust than we are raiding your wallet. Getting to meet new people and passing on what I've learned in my career as a tree trimmer. I enjoy giving advice to homeowners that they can use going forward. Knowing your trees and shrubs makes it easier to maintain them.

I was very impressed with Denny Westhoven of WESTHOVEN TREEWORKS! He is a very nice gentleman who came out to review my job the day after we connected through Thumbtack. I wrote up a detailed list of what needed to be done. We agreed on a fair price and he started my landscape and tree pruning project about a week after we met, working for 2 days to complete everything I had asked to be done. Then, he volunteered to come the next day (a Sunday) do even more to enhance the cleanup by pressure washing the driveway, sidewalks and spreading 50 bales of pine straw all over the pine islands to give my yard a well cared for, finished look. His assistants, Steve and Dillion were very polite, courteous young men with whom we enjoyed conversing. I hope Denny is available the next time I need tree work, pressure washing, stump grinding, landscape pruning or mulching. How did you get started doing this type of work?
Back in the 70's it was a way to make some extra money. What started as a financial hobby turned into a love for the job. I really enjoy working with all the different types of trees. I'm always learning something new and I enjoy passing along my knowledge to my customers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do everything from many trees to small shrubs.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research! Learning more about your tree or shrub before you hire a professional gives you the edge on separating the Pros from the Joes. If you have a bad feeling about the guy giving you an estimate, trust your gut. It's usually right.
