I had a wonderful experience working with Jeb from Hot Shoe Media on a few short documentary film projects. Jeb rocked it in every aspect possible. He was incredibly professional and brought an editing finesse that made the short films really shine. I hired him over and over, and I look forward to getting him and the Hot Shoe team back involved!Jul 15, 2020
It was a pleasure to work with Hot Shoe Media! We booked them for a company video shoot a few weeks back. I was worried that I would not be able to attend this shoot to guide things along but Jeb assured me that they could take care of it. They were not only professional and responsible, but were also able to take initiative and direct the shoot as needed to give us the best result. I have worked with a number of videographers and the quality of the footage we received really blew me away! It's easy to see that they have struck a great balance between technical knowledge and artistry. I can't wait to work with them again, and would recommend them to anyone interested!Jul 8, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Because we offer a wide range of services, several factors come into play when we determine how to price and tailor each of our projects based on your specific needs. Elements we consider when pricing a project include (but are not limited to): Pre-Production: -Concept and development -Production Planning Production: -Hiring Actors -Securing Shooting Locations -Equipment Rentals -Crew Size Post Production: -Motion Graphics -Color Grading -Music Selection -Length of Project We encourage you to look over our previous work as a reference as to how we price different types of projects. You’ll see there that our rates typically run between $1,000 to $6,000.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Above all else, we believe in open collaboration with our clients. The first step is always to have an initial meeting either in person or over the phone. This is where we flesh out overall goals for the project and determine what it will take to realize your vision. We emphasize clear communication with our clients and at no point in the production process is this more important than in the beginning. Before the cameras start rolling, we want to establish a clear understanding of what you are going to get out of this process and how we are going to go about providing our services. Your project is completely unique to you and we want to know what’s important to you and what you want to communicate in your video.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Hot Shoe Media began as four friends who bonded over their love of filmmaking. We all attended film school at the University of Alabama where we received a valuable education and honed our craft by applying what we learned in the classroom on countless film sets and commercial projects. Each of us has developed our skills through our own creative endeavors in the production of narrative, commercial, documentary, and feature films. Members of our team have been a part of Emmy nominated and other award winning projects and productions. Nothing has been more beneficial in our education than the past five years of collaboration between us. We push each other to work harder and to become better filmmakers.
