KD Handy Services came in clutch when my house was on the verge of a full-blown kid-created disaster zone. I’m talking slime in the sink (yes, actual slime), gobs of toothpaste where toothpaste should never be, and a bunch of other random “how did this even happen?” tasks I could not handle on my own. He showed up calm, kind, professional, and completely unfazed by the chaos — which honestly deserves its own medal. He tackled everything with ease, from removing a glittery goo monster from the drain to fixing up a list of neglected “I’ll get to that eventually” chores I had given up on. He was quick, super efficient, and just a pleasure to have in the house. Not awkward, not pushy — just a genuine, honest, down-to-earth guy who knows what he’s doing and does it well. I’m saving his number like it’s the emergency contact for “My kids broke something again.” If you’re overwhelmed, outnumbered, or just need help with the stuff you can’t (or don’t want to) do yourself, KD Handy Services is the one to call. A complete waste of time. First of all, he’s not $50 an hour. I sent him a list of things and he quoted me what equated to $175 an hour when I asked him why he said $50 an hour in his ad, he said “thats for small jobs where the hourly rate applies such as one request and not multiple requests”. That doesn’t even make any sense. He wanted to charge me $75 to install a towel rack and $50 to screw in a toilet paper holder. $100 an hour if he was honest about it cause I have a lot of things that needed to go up like a bunch of blinds, etc. but the prices were completely arbitrary. So I decided to let him install the ring doorbell because I needed that done ASAP after going back-and-forth with him for over a week - about 24 hours before he supposed to show up, the day after holiday, he sends me an estimate and asks for 50% upfront. I told him I don’t do that. He said fine, we can waive it then at almost midnight he text me and said “the owner says we can’t do it for no deposit” so he doesn’t even own the company. Why would I be a perfect stranger with 13 reviews on thumbtack $75 for $150 job? It just was a whole waste of time but I’m giving him two stars because he was polite.

No, we never completed any work for you since you initially contacted us back on 8/24 which is over 8 days ago. *Contractors Beware of Frauds Who Work For Other Contractors Who Contact You With Frivolous Tasks Just to Try and Lower Your Review Rating** Upon Nico's initial contact on 8/24 he stated this was a rental property that needed a few things including removing a burglar type door and replace with storm door along with bathroom cabinets replaced along with bathroom sink replaced including faucet. After 5 days of communication he stated he was going with another contractor. Then 2 days later he reached back out and again and stated he decided not to go with the other contractor and stated he needed a Ring door bell installed which was totally different from his initial request of the items listed above. He never had any intentions on getting work done, it's a scam to try and damage other contractor's reviews.
