What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Mediation: Standard pricing is $250/1st hour, $200, 2nd hour, and $100/hour thereafter, whether same or additional day(s). Military and educator discounts are offered. Speaking Events: $500 is standard fee for 1 hour; however, additional fees may be added for transportation/accommodations, or additional speaker fee for specific client needs. Family Education Coaching: In-home only. $100/hour. APA Editing, proofing, or developmental editing: Varies with project. Reader services (we read author's work to author) is $75/hour. Tutoring: Varies with need. All services include a free consultation via telephone.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I ask for a 30 minute free consultation via phone to explain the process and listen to a person's needs. If interested, the client will then receive a detailed summary of the service with demographic questions, as well as questions regarding client stated needs. Client then makes decision to proceed with process. All fees are paid in advance of service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my BA from Mount Holyoke College '01 in psychology/education; MBA from New York Institute of Technology '08 in health administration/HR; and expect PhD late '15 or early '16 in psychology/education. I trained for mediation at the Justice Center in Atlanta, GA, and Atlanta Divorce Mediators with Betty Manley (deceased). Life coaching with UK The Coaching School. APA as graduate assistant, 1.5 years, APA mentor and student support for APA inquiries.
