I’ve been in this industry of work for over 20 years and recently decided to begin a small business on the side in order to expand my horizons. I’m very detailed in my work and am currently looking to offer my services and knowledge in this field to my community in hopes to grow my business bigger. Very satisfied with Martinez Land Solutions. I needed ground leveled around existing patio to prepare for an extension project I’m working on. They came a few days earlier than planned (awesome) got the ground leveled quickly and then they even laid some of the underlay and the paving stones I already had on-site. They really went above and beyond what was asked. I highly recommend their services and I will use them again for my next project.

We had a lot of underbrush to clear due to overgrowth. We tried to do it ourselves but quickly realized we need a professional with the “right equipment “. Joel and his team did a great job. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing includes many variables. Pricing includes gas, transport of machinery, time, the labor, and sometimes in also includes materials and to cover costs for more workers to be on job site depending on the size of the job. It also covers planning of the job and set up of materials to be delivered. There’s a lot of work done even before the project begins so this should be considered when a price is given.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get some basic information for the work they want done and then schedule a time to come take a look to verify the work that wants to be done and to make sure the area will be accessible for heavy machinery. Accessibility is a key factor in being able to successfully do a job in my line of work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am OSHA certified. OSHA stands for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It was created out of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. Its purpose is to ensure safe working conditions for workers and on job sites. OSHA certified is competency issued in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. It signifies that the worker has achieved and met all the requirements stipulated by OSHA.
I am GSWCC certified. Anyone involved in land development, design, review, permitting, construction, monitoring, inspection, or any land-disturbing activity in Georgia must meet education requirements and be certified by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission program developed in consultation with the Georgia Environmental.
