FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job is different and pricing is based on many different factors such as lot size, type of survey needed, travel distance, is the property wooded or open, is it zoned commercial or residential, availability of records and information like deeds and older plats that can be used as referenced, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we gather information from the potential client to better understand their needs that way we can provide an accurate estimate the first time. Next, if they award us the job we start courthouse research to obtain necessary records like deeds or old plats of the subject property. Then we go to the property and carry out the field work gathering measurements and data that is needed to produce a plat map and fulfill the entire work order. Finally, upon completion of all work we invoice the client and take payment for services provided. That's normally how it goes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40+ years experience in the field of Land surveying. Professionally Licensed since 1996, a little over 22 years. I am required to do continuing education every year as well.
