FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to photography pricing, there are a few important things that customers should know. First of all, discounts are available on various occasions. For example, if you refer a friend and they book a shoot with us, you can get a 10% discount off your next booking! We also offer seasonal discounts around the holidays and special anniversaries. In addition to discounts, customers should be aware of any additional fees that may apply to our services. Those may include travel/transportation costs (if applicable), any props we need to bring in for the shoot (e.g., furniture rental or flowers), and sometimes even makeup artists or other supporting personnel for larger projects like fashion shoots or commercial shoots. If these fees apply to your particular project, we'll always let you know before proceeding so there's no surprises in the end! We want everyone who works with us on their photography needs to feel informed about what our working together entails - so make sure you ask questions during the booking process if something isn't fully clear! We're here to provide an enjoyable experience from start-to-finish!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a new customer, the process typically follows the same steps. First off, I make sure to have a detailed consultation with my client. During this consultation, we discuss their specific needs and vision for the project. We talk about things like theme and style, location preferences and size of group/individuals to be photographed. Having this discussion allows me to better understand what they are looking for from our session together before it even starts. After that initial talk is complete, the next step is booking the session with my team (if needed) and setting up any equipment or studio space that will be used during our shoot if necessary. From there, I begin scouting locations that might work well within budgets; timing is important here so being mindful of weather conditions is key! Additionally, if wardrobe styling requirements had been discussed in our initial conversation then now’s when items get selected as well as any minor makeup adjustments that may need to take place ahead of time (for example). Once everything gets organized and scheduled it’s finally time for us to shoot! My sessions generally last anywhere from an hour-to-two hours depending on group size/ quantity of looks needed for approval post production etc., but once finished both myself and my team get right into editing mode shortly after wrap-up time has concluded - we always strive to provide prompt delivery times & feedback accordingly. No matter what type of photographic assignment I am tackling though - whether someone’s wedding day or just ordinary portrait shots - you can bet your bottom dollar I will always enter into every situation professionally equipped while providing excellent quality imagery each & every single time :)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out by getting a decent DSLR camera and doing some research on the basics of photography. I then began experimenting with different angles, lighting, and composition to create interesting shots. I also read up on some essential techniques like understanding aperture, shutter speed, white balance, etc. After doing all of this groundwork, I contacted local photographers whose work I admired in order to learn even more about the craft. During these conversations I asked questions such as how they got their start in photography and what tips they had for me that they wished they'd known when they were first starting out. Talking with established pros was one of the best decisions early on because it gave me an insight into their creative process as well as valuable advice regarding gear choices and editing software options. The next step was to just keep practicing! Whenever there was an opportunity to take photos (of friends or family celebrations for instance) I would try out new ideas or practice shooting from different perspectives/angles/lighting situations – all while having fun along the way! Throughout this process it’s important pick yourself up from any mistakes you make so that you don't get discouraged - after all it takes time for anyone to develop mastery in any field! Today my passion for photography continues growing every day; shooting has now become second nature-something that is truly enjoyable yet challenging at the same time. It's been a long journey filled with lots of learning experiences but one thing remains true- if you put your heart into something you love then anything is possible!
