Introduction: We pride ourselves in offering affordable, flexible photography to families, individuals and pet rescues. Not being a professional photographer allows me to take more time, develop new skills and allow my clients to get comfortable in having their picture taken. I began photographing in high school for the literary magazine that I also wrote and edited for. My favorite subjects were those in nature, but after taking more and more pictures of people and being in more situations where I was having photos taken of me, I decided this was something I really, truly enjoyed. Being in front of a camera isn't for everyone. There's a sense of discomfort, self-consciousness and embarrassment, and I honestly believe that part of getting good photos is allowing yourself (as the subject) to become confident and relaxed. After wedding and honeymoon photos, I was noticing more and more that a lot of the pictures that I wasn't happy with were great from an art perspective, but as the subject, I didn't want to show these around. I couldn't figure out why no one had "directed" me on where to put my hands, how to stand up straight or how to tilt my chin for the most flattering picture, and so, that's what I want to do. I want to delve into the complicated task of not only taking good pictures and making my clients feel comfortable, but also coaching them on how to be photographed. I have no issues showing a client the camera screen when I'm exceptionally proud of the picture because I feel that if they're just as excited as I am, they're so much more likely to give a sincere smile and do that whole "relaxing" thing. I want to stay within your comfort zone, but also allow you to experience how fun taking pictures can be. Because being in love, being proud of your family, your kids, your friends -- even your pets -- is something that creates such a heartwarming sensation that it should be shared with everyone.
