- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Quick intake: A brief chat to confirm goals, prior experience, and scheduling needs. Intro/placement lesson (60 minutes): You’ll get hands-on instruction right away as I assess note reading, rhythm, and technique. For younger students, a parent attends the intro lesson. Materials: I place the student in the correct method books and explain what to bring moving forward. Enrollment & schedule: We select your weekly slot, set up auto-pay on the 1st, and apply family discounts if applicable. First-month plan: You leave with a short practice outline and clear next steps so you’re confident starting regular weekly lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Degree: Bachelor’s in Music Education (lead instructor). Specialized training: Ongoing courses and workshops in piano pedagogy, technique, music reading, and child development. Professional associations: Active MTNA, GMTA, and Savannah MTA membership (conferences, pedagogy sessions, and standards). Early childhood credential: Musikgarten certification for babies and toddler classes. Instructor team: Experienced educators; we onboard, coach, and train, and certify instructors to deliver consistent, high-quality piano lessons.
