Tyler Pendley/Southern Traditions Outdoor Solutions just removed our Bermuda lawn and laid Zeon Zoysia. The job was done in the time agreed upon, he had the right equipment, good help, and with hard work the job was completed to our satisfaction.

Details: Residential • Small (less than 1,000 sq ft) • Installed onto existing lawn • Clear old grass or weeds • I need the pro to provide the sod

I had a spot leveled out and gravel put down to have a building set up. Done job in a reasonable time frame and was a good price. Also had some sod laid in front yard. Would recommend for any of your outdoor needs.

I would not work with this company again. They gave an estimate for the job and did not update me on pricing changes throughout the build. I requested this twice, with no response. Instead I was given a suprise verbal charge at the end with them refusing to negotiate. Payment was supposed to be made at the end of the job, but they asked for half during the job. This should have been a redflag. I provided all the materials, and they provided labor. Rebar was used in the retaining wall footings but not in the cinderblocks, so I am concerned that it won't hold up over time. Drainage and replacing the soil behind the wall was not completed. I recommend getting a price upfront and not making any changes, unless you have it in writing. The finished project is not landscape contractor quality, but is rough building grade quality. I was not expecting to do the clean up after they left site.

Southern Traditions Outdoor Solutions's reply
Rebar was put inside the cement blocks and also inside the footings that was poured. I know its in there because I am the one who placed the rebar and I gave a quote on the wall, patio, and the grading for the wall and the patio. What is to be expected when more is added as in hauling off nasty wet debris loading it changing the grade and smoothing it all up. When someone gives a quote for a job its for the job you wanted from the start and not whatever else you decide to add when you want extra work that means it will cost extra money and we spoke to you onsite about how much the price was before the end of the job and everything was fine nothing was wrong with the price we even accepted less then the final price after everything that was added. So to all other contractors and small business owners beware of this client trying to add more work after you give a quote and then leave receive a bad review because you don't do the extra work they want for free. Have a wonderful and blessed day Thanks!
