Clarice did an amazing job training my little Benji. When I dropped him off, he was all over the place and didn’t know how to act. He would pull when walking him, bark at everything nonstop, constantly jump at everyone who came in the house or wanted something and the list goes on. I just got him back yesterday and he is a completely different. He listens when I talk to him, doesn’t pull on the leash, doesn’t jump up on us and I have only heard him bark once since he has been back. I definitely recommend anyone who needs their dog trained to go to Clarice/Southern Belle Retrievers. She is amazing!!

I have taken my dog to 3 different trainers. The first one was overly strict and militant, the second one was just a group setting when he needed 1:1 training. Then I met Clarice. She is the only one who asked about Buddy’s past and took time to observe him 1:1 and built a trust with him. He was so anxious around people and other dogs. Three words to describe Clarice are honest, compassionate, and professional. She knows all her dogs and pairs the dogs up to play so there are no issues. While your dog is training she will send pics and keep you updated. She will also train YOU so that you can continue the process. I highly recommend Clarice. She is one of a kind. Buddy was so frightened and shook all over when he first went to training. His main issue was jumping. That is under control! Now when he goes for boarding, he is so excited. I highly recommend Clarice. Just talk with her, you’ll see!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My 3 week Board/Train is $1,800.00. There is a 5% discount for Military, First Responders, Educational Workers and Senior Citizens 65 and older. Contact SBR for pricing on Gundog Training. My Boarding fee is $40.00 a night.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Contacting the client, asking the issues they are having, what are they expecting from the training, explain what SBR's training consists off, how long the training will take and the cost. Updated Shot Records are required.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before any training for specific tasks, Obedience is the foundation. It doesn't matter if you want a Hunting Companion, Obedience comes first. I have been apprentice under very well known Trainers. I have traveled through the United States running Hunt Test dogs.
