Jack is a very nice guy to work with. Very professional, even wore masks (kind of important during these times) and the quality of work was great. I recommend him and would give him a call for my future projects. P.S. He helped me with relocation and installing 2 refrigerators and also seemed knowledgeable on many other things I needed an opinion on.

Jack fixed a contractor nightmare situation for a reasonable price. His company was hired to replace two (2) heat pumps and an air handler that had been substituted with undersized units by the previous contractor. Jack is very knowledgeable and professional.

Good communication, very knowledgeable, and did clean high quality work (I'm a retired plumber and know what clean work looks like--there's a difference). Most importantly, Jack is trustworthy. I know this for a fact because another HVAC contractor (from Thumbtack) came out and quoted me $1,800 for this same repair. The guy said my two year old air handler must be replaced, the lines needed to be acid washed, many many pounds of expensive coolant would be needed to charge the new system, etc. Basically, it was the typical scammer sales pitch contractors notoriously use to raise costs-- "everything is broken and must be replaced", when in reality, it's a simple fix. In stark contrast to this other contractor, Jack was honest and only replaced what truly needed replacing. He did the whole job for just $239! You read correctly: another Thumbtack contractor $1,800, Jack $239. What's more, when it turned out my system needed an extra pound of coolant (not much), and it cost a little more than his original estimate (an estimate given sight unseen from email); Jack looked like someone ran over his puppy as he gave me the news. Clearly, this is a contractor who does not enjoy up-charging anyone. In a market filled is lazy scammers, it's refreshing to come across this young man who takes pride in his work and truly cares about giving people honest value.

I cant say enough about how pleased I am with the work Alpha Tech Mechanical has completed on my home. They performed a full system replacement including the duct work for my upstairs HVAC system. I work in the software technology field that helps supports many aspects of Facility Maintenance and have extensive knowledge of this industry. Alpha Tech Mechanical fully understands HVAC and building science in every detail and applies industry best practices in their work. In my experience with other HVAC companies they simply do break-fix repair but never try to or want to address overall system issues. This is in part because it may not be the most profitable approach for their business or lack on industry knowledge. Additionally, many other HVAC companies either dont care or dont know how ensure your HVAC system is performing to optimal efficiency and capacity. Jack and his team truly understand all of this and therefore can take a completely different approach. Alpha Tech Mechanical took their time and walked me through their thorough diagnosis they performed on my new system during the commissioning process. This ensured me that the system they installed was performing to desired specification. After all was said and done the results showed that the system was performing well beyond the manufacturer specifications. I fully accredit this to Jack and his team doing what I would consider the best quality work I have ever seen in residential HVAC. Heres to Building Science, Thank You Alpha Tech Mechanical

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
we do use mostly a flat rate but according to the job we may do it hourly if it works out for the homeowner. I can make the same but when I work by the hour and just charge my customers the price for the part with no mark up then I find it to be a win win.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
to educate them on the problem along with the correct repair giving all pricing before completing any work
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Commercial Refrigeration, I'm EPA, BPI and NATE certified. I also have my non restricted air conditioning license.
