FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Any time you are looking for a provider you need to know what a service call includes. Many HVAC companies have a service call rate which is the cost for them to drive to your door, they then have an hourly rate that starts when they arrive. If you are comparing prices it is important to find out if there are "trip charges" plus service call rates plus labor. If you want to find the best value for your money, you have to compare apples to apples. Once you have made a decision on the person that you want to do the work, verify everything! Find out what the part does, how what it is for and why it needs to be replaced. Often, customers want to be comfortable more than they want to check out whether or not they are being charged fairly. Companies know this and will charge a premium on parts (sometimes more than 10 times the standard cost!) because people will pay it. Be savvy!
