Because I love what I do. It's difficult to compete in today's market when everyone is a photographer and everyone has a camera, but I take the stress away and make it fun again! I enjoy working with and meeting new people. I love the flexibility of working and having a family owned and operated business. My 20 year career as a RN, required long hours away from my family and my kids and grandchildren. My photography business allows me to supplement my nursing salary and do something I absolutely love, and my family can come along!

So happy we had Colleen and team at our event. Her performance pictures and family pictures turned out great. She came to our event even though we were located two hours away. Our attendees were delighted to have someone on hand to take and print professional photos on the spot. I hope we hire her again at our next big event.

Fantastic with children! My baby twins are very difficult to photograph, when one is crying, the other is laughing. Colleen was very patient and creative when getting their attention and was able to capture awesome pictures! Couldn't be happier!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is pretty simple, you only pay for what you order and receive. I print the photos on the spot and usually charge a flat $10 a page. If you don't like your photo, I don't print it so neither party is out anything.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Member of Kelby online learning and Lynda's online courses for advanced photography and lighting. And adobe Photoshop CS as changes and updates occur.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly... I've always been the one with the camera in hand. Birthdays, holidays, and then sports as my kids, and nieces and nephews got older. And after a while other parents were asking for copies of photos from a game, which I gladly did, and eventually that turned in to uploading my photos to a free website, then a paid website. And it has continued to take off from there.
