Introduction: Because I love what I do. It's difficult to compete in today's market when everyone is a photographer and everyone has a camera, but I take the stress away and make it fun again! I enjoy working with and meeting new people. I love the flexibility of working and having a family owned and operated business. My 20 year career as a RN, required long hours away from my family and my kids and grandchildren. My photography business allows me to supplement my nursing salary and do something I absolutely love, and my family can come along!

I couldn't be any more pleased!! CBirdsPhotos came and photographed my event and even printed photo packages in minutes! Very inexpensive, she only charged what photos the families had printed, and then only $10 for a 8x10 or 2 - 5x7s! I will definitely use her again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone for virtually any photography need!

I hired CBirdsPhotos for our large family outdoor portrait. We had 16 people in all, and she must have taken 500 photos! She stayed until we were out of sunlight, way beyond anyone's expectations! I had gotten her business card from a nurse friend of mine so I wasn't sure what to expect. We all ordered prints from her online website and paid a mere fraction of what we've paid yearly through Olan Mills, and the photos are gorgeous! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone!

Fantastic with children! My baby twins are very difficult to photograph, when one is crying, the other is laughing. Colleen was very patient and creative when getting their attention and was able to capture awesome pictures! Couldn't be happier!

The photos of my stepdaughter were yellow looking. So none of her photos turned out good unless we wanted to print in black-and-white. And then only a handful were okay. They were taken at a dance recital and the pictures were rushed. Was hoping for better because we were needing family photos done.

Tabitha, if you were unhappy I wish you had just called me. Yes, unfornutely the pictures were rushed, and the dancers were tired. I was asked to do this shoot a mere 2 days before, so I had no help. I mailed you 99 original unedited photos and a release to do with them as you want, on a 8gb flash drive mailed to you for $20, so I made nothing. I delivered digital images, not prints. If the photos appeared yellow, edit them using white balance, lighten, or by making photo cooler would help. You had requested your order rushed due to upcoming gifts that you were making, so yours went out first. I remember you saying that you are a photographer as well, surely you understand I cannot be held responsible for how, or who makes your prints. I appreciate your review, but I was hoping for constructive reviews, ways I can improve my service, not things that are beyond my control. You can call me or msg me on Facebook and I can help you edit the photos so they are more pleasing to you, and I can recommend a couple very good labs for prints. Colleen bird Cbirdsphotos

She took some family pictures of us at the Battlefield and they turned out great! Took time to go to different spots to get what we wanted. Great pictures of whole family.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is pretty simple, you only pay for what you order and receive. I print the photos on the spot and usually charge a flat $10 a page. If you don't like your photo, I don't print it so neither party is out anything.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Member of Kelby online learning and Lynda's online courses for advanced photography and lighting. And adobe Photoshop CS as changes and updates occur.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly... I've always been the one with the camera in hand. Birthdays, holidays, and then sports as my kids, and nieces and nephews got older. And after a while other parents were asking for copies of photos from a game, which I gladly did, and eventually that turned in to uploading my photos to a free website, then a paid website. And it has continued to take off from there.
