What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our services are based on defined package content. We have Gold, Platinum and Titanium service packages that start at $950. We do offer customized packages and have an hourly rate for a la carte service
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin by listening to the vision the customer has for their event. We then discuss the proposed budget vs. the vision and make any recommendations adjustments if needed. We then conduct a gap analysis and begin research to support our recommendations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Wedding Consultant/Planning certification, Conference and Meeting Management Certificate, Project Management Professional (PMP) and a MBA
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where the bride did not have a wedding planner. It became evident at the rehearsal that there was a need for day of wedding coordination. After the rehearsal I went home and researched what should have happened at the rehearsal and at the wedding. The next day I acted as a bridesmaid and wedding coordinator, everything ran smoothly. I was asked to be a part of a few other weddings, decided to pursue formal education and here I am some 20+ years later
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I spent 9 months planning a wedding for a bride who lived in Canada and had never been to Atlanta. I was able to take her vision and turn it into reality and per her comments " the day was more spectacular than she had even imagined."
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When you hire a professional, allow them to give you the benefit of their experience, at least to the extent of at least listening to any areas of concern.
