FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend CEDIA every year which is our industry trade show, and I attend various seminars, and classes to keep up with the latest technology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Background is in corporate sales, while finding other ways to get income for the family's high end office furniture company, we decided to add video conferencing, audio and plasma tv's to conference rooms for Fortune 500 companies in Chicago. I was doing a high end home office for a Chicago Bears player and while doing his office I met the guy doing his home theater, and whole house audio. He flew around the country doing sports stars and people in the entertainment industry. After talking to him about the industry, I knew at that point thats what I wanted to do. He basically took me under his wing and hepled me work with him and went to trade shows to learn home theaters. My first job I helped him out on was Kobe Bryant's house in LA. which at the time was one of his biggest installations and I learned alot on the job.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common job is TV Installation, followed by Home Theaters, but safety has been a concern lately so camera installation is very popular also.
