Anthony and his son did an excellent job repairing the support frame of my sofa in my home. Anthony is very knowledgeable about the craftsmanship of furniture. His repair of my sofa frame exceeded the original workmanship of the existing frame, ensuring no reoccurrence of the problem. Don’t hesitate to contact Anthony for your furniture repair needs. Thank you, Anthony and Anthony IV! Attached are the before and after photos of the sofa frame repair.

Anthony was referred to me through Bassett Furniture as someone who might be able to help me refinish the table I had bought from them almost ten years ago. Not only was he responsive over text in a timely manner, but I could tell he cared deeply about doing excellent work and was knowledgeable in his craft. My table even presented him with some unforeseen challenges when some mysterious bleach spots appeared upon stripping. He did an excellent job matching the color, grain, and sheen of my table to the leaf that is rarely used. He ended up having to charge me a little more than his original quote for the extra time it took to get everything just right, but he split the difference with me, which I thought was fair. He even left me with a bottle of his recommended cleaner, and I love the restored look of my table. I would highly recommend his work to anyone in need of furniture repairs.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I’m 1972 I worked in a shop stripping furniture.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I went to a vocational school in Buffalo N.Y, called Emerson Vocational High School. They trained us on how to build furniture in a factory. But by the 80s all those jobs went overseas. We learned how to identify the wood and build a piece of furniture from start to finish. And use and develop skills to work on all the machinery.
