FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We understand the process of selecting a contractor can be a stressful one. It’s a big investment, and you deserve to feel comfortable moving forward with it. For that reason, we adapt our process to meet our customers’ specific needs. We like to say, “You start out as our customer, and end up as our friend.” Our typical process includes: 1. DEBRIEF: We collect information on your roof such as the age, if you have any leaks, if you may have storm damage that insurance may cover. 2. ATTIC INSPECTION: We then inspect your attic for any leaks or potential problems. This gives us an “x-ray” of the roof so we can be properly prepared for the replacement or repairs, the same way a doctor would x-ray a broken arm before starting surgery. 3. ROOF INSPECTION: We perform a roof inspection, checking what condition your shingles are in, if there are multiple layers of shingles, what roof accessories you have, if code requires any upgrades on the roof, what type of ventillation you have, if you have storm damage insurance may cover, etc. While we inspect the roof, we take pictures and videos of anything notable so we can show you what we found, and we email them to you so you have a record of the inspection. 4. OPTIONS: Based off our inspection and your specific needs, we give our recommendations on what work should be done on the roof, and the shingle we recommend. However, we always give options to our customers, so you can choose what solution works best for you at that moment. 5. WAITING PERIOD: We are not pushy. As mentioned earlier, replacing your roof is a big investment on an already big investment (your home). Unless you are absolutely sure you want to work with us right then and there, we always encourage our customers to think over the options for a few days. 6. PRODUCT SELECTION: When we get confirmation that you would like us to replace your roof, we get shingle brand, style, and color picked out by bringing physical samples and (when possible) simulated photos of roof colors on your home to help you make the best decision. 7. SCHEDULING: we get in touch with our crews and suppliers to get the project started. Usually, we can start the project as soon as 3 business days from the day you select your product. 8. PROJECT DAY: Your project manager and crew arrive at your house early morning to tear off the old roof and install your new roof. Pictures are taken throughout the process as your record of exactly what was installed under the shingles, and we keep you updated on the progress of your job as we work. 9. WALKTHROUGH: Once the project is completed, we walk you around the property, show you pictures from atop the roof, and explain exactly what we did and what certain accessories are. At this point, we also answer any questions or concerns you may have. 10. COMPLETION: Once you are happy with the work done, we accept payment and follow up with you in a few weeks to ensure the roof is holding up and to answer any questions you may have come up with since your new roof was installed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have received training and certificates from GAF, Owens Corning, and IKO, some of the largest roofing manufacturers in North America. We hold weekly meetings and trainings to ensure our project managers and crews can locate potential issues with your current roof and install your new roof exactly as GA code and manufacturer specs require.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It can be tempting to make a swift decision, especially if a company uses high-pressure sales tactics. It’s a big investment on your home, and it’s extremely important to both you, the customer, and your contractor that you take a few days to think about and make the decision that is best for you. Things to consider when making your decision are the quality, expertise, and reputation of your contractor, the professionalism and expertise of your project manager and crew (this will be the person in charge of your roof project. No matter how great a company is, your roof installation will only be as good as the person managing it and the crew installing it), what materials will be installed, the warranty your contractor offers, and if the price your contractor offers matches the value of what they are installing.
