Hi, I'm Helen Castillo. I'm in my 30's and I have been professionally pet sitting since the year 2002. I have experience with all types of dogs and have dedicated my life to volunteering in animals rescues to help dogs in need. I only believe in training dogs using positive reinforcement.
In my home we love to have doggy guests!! We provide reasonable rates, and in most cases less than the cost of boarding at a nice facility. When staying with us I can assure you they will have so much fun here, and lots more one-on-one cuddle and playtime. We are also insured and bonded with the state of Georgia.
OUR FAMILY: We are a family of 7. I have a fun-loving daughter who loves dogs just as much as I do! She is very sweet and gentle with our house guest. We have three adorable dogs under 18lbs (Daisy, Lucy and Stella), and two adorable cats (Luna and Nena) who are very sweet and loving. We have a completely enclosed backyard where they can run and play under my supervision. We have a beautiful deck where they can bask in the sun.

*** We are not able to keep dogs with signs of aggression in our home. Your pup must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vet-recommended vaccines, and be free of fleas and ticks, and cannot have any contagious illnesses including kennel cough and intestinal parasites. This is very important, and thank you for understanding.
***Please be aware that I cannot hold dates if your baby has not stayed with me previously. Meet & greets are required prior to booking.

ONCE YOU BOOK: When you drop off your pup, please bring a note with any detailed feeding/medicine instructions, and other details you want me to know. Also I'd like to have a local emergency contact (relative/friend who loves your pet), and vet information.
Please bring food and any special treats. There are plenty of toys, and food/water bowls here, so no need to bring these items. If they have a special bed that they love, feel free to pack it. If your pup has separation anxiety, it may be helpful to pack a piece of clothing or sheet that has your scent and the scent of your home.

Helen is the absolute best! She went above and beyond our expectations when we boarded our baby Levi with her. We scheduled a meet and greet first and our dogs got along. Levi is younger and bigger than her 3 sweet babies, but they quickly let her know the Do’s and Don’ts of the house. Helen is very knowledgeable with dogs and kept us informed daily with pics and videos along with a small blurbs of what our dog was up to. She has an enclosed backyard which was great so our dog can go out for runs and play time with the other dogs. I would highly recommend and plan to board with Helen in the future as she cared for my baby like her own.

Easily the best boarding scenario for our dog. He got to be a part of the family and hang out on the couch. Everyone loved getting the daily photos and updates. Will definitely use again.

Helen was awesome with my Bentley!!!! Pictures and updates daily. Always responsive. Flexible with my schedule on drop off and pick up. Pricing is great!!! My Bentley is very demanding and finicky. She was very patient and managed my pup like a pro. She is definitely a pro in her field. It's hard to find people who will love your fur baby like you do. I'm confident I found Bentley's second mommy!!!! ♥️♥️🐕🐕♥️♥️

Helen was amazing!! I took my 1 year old pup Zeus to her for a weekend and he could not have been happier. Before the weekend, Helen scheduled a meet and greet to ensure my Zeus would be comfortable. She had a perfect set up where the dogs could freely move around her home and have access to her backyard under her supervision. Since I got my baby during the pandemic, he has scarcely been around other dogs so he was initially shy but warmed up to her family very quickly. While I was gone she sent me a photo and video daily and kept me informed about how Zeus was doing. I 100% recommend using her because she will love your dog like he/she is her own and your dog won’t be crated the entire time. Do it! This is one of the photos she sent me. My dog is the brown one that’s smiling away. (He definitely wasn’t feeling shy anymore)

Helen is awesome! She is very affordable.From the meet and greet to the end of the trip I was comfortable with her keeping Deuce. I can tell she loves what she do. The environment for the dogs is so welcoming. Deuce warmed up to her and her family very quickly. She’s able to keep your dog on the same schedule that they’re already on. I especially loved the puppy check ins. It was pictures and nice messages about what your dog was doing. Deuce will definitely be back for more stays to come. Thank you for caring for Deuce, as I would.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the number of days your baby stays with us. For adult dogs, its $55 per day. On the day of pick up there is no charge if your baby is picked up by 10am. After 10am there is a doggy daycare day charge for each pup, $25.
Puppies are $60 per day.
Any additional dog is $30 per day for each additional boarding dog.
Half the boarding pet fee is paid before drop off and the rest at pick up.
Hours: 7am to 6pm. Any dogs not picked up by 6pm will be considered boarding for another night.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do ask that all clients provide me proof of their current pet records. It's important for me to provide a safe, healthy and loving environment for all babies. The yearly rabies and Bordetella vaccine should be part of their yearly records.
Please make sure that your pup is up to date on their flea and heartworm meds. I cannot keep any dogs that have fleas/worms or showing any signs that they may be sick. You will be asked to pick up your baby immediately. I cannot put at risk my other pet sitting babies, as well as my own personal babies.
I do require meet and greets before booking. All babies that stay in my home have to be children, dog and cat friendly. At the meet and greet, please bring your pup with you as well as a copy of their vet records. You will get to see my home and also have your baby meet my babies to make sure that it's a perfect fit for everyone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over a decade of experience working with dogs. I have volunteered with many nonprofit rescues and helped many foster babies through their health journey.
