My goal is to take the best out-of-camera shots and leave the chopping and cropping to the amateurs. Photography is not just about knowing where to point a camera. Working with Lara at Summer Love Photography was a pure joy! She had a fun but professional attitude. She took excellent photos and captured the special moments between us. She was open to any suggestions from us and our guests. And her turn around time was very fast. The photos we received were beyond our expectations. I was planning a Hilton Head Island beach wedding from Pennsylvania with only 2 months planning time. It was Lara's photos online that caught my eye, but when I saw her pricing, the decision was easy. We didn't need a traditional wedding package (4-8 hours), as we only had a small family wedding on the beach and really only needed 2-3 hours coverage. She worked with me to personalize our package/pricing, and was more than happy to change things up a bit to make sure that I received everything I wanted. With a small beach wedding, our family all stood very close to us on the beach so that they could hear everything. I was worried that our photos would be affected, with guests in all the shots. Lara did a fantastic job at being able to capture the intimate moments between us, with no distractions in the photos, and without being obtrusive to our guests. She also did an amazing job of trying to eliminate those bystanders on the beach that stopped to watch- Not an easy task! She had great ideas of poses that I would have never thought of and turned out to be my favorite pictures. She also was willing to travel with us to multiple locations so that we could capture all the beauty of the island on our special day. The turn around time of receiving our disc with all our photos & edited photos (awesome) was very fast- I believe around 3 weeks, but she was also 9 months pregnant at the time :) All in all, my only complaint is that I have too many beautiful pictures to choose from and not enough wall space! I've decided the only thing to do is rotate my pictures out from time to time so that I am able to enjoy them all! I would highly recommend Lara (Summer Love Photography) without any hesitations. She is a beautiful person with an amazing talent to capture the true emotion of your wedding and the individual personalities of those she photographs.

Lara was phenomenal. Her prices were the first thing that caught my eye: they are reasonable and fair. After that it was all Lara. She is just delightful! Easy to work with, funny, creative and patient. We received millions of compliments on our engagement and wedding photos and can't wait to work with her again in the future (maybe baby announcements? Wink wink). Book her!

Lara shot my wedding back in August 2013 and we couldn't be happier! She spent about 6 hours with us from before the ceremony until after the cake was served at the reception. Lara was very nice, responsive, professional, and easy to work with. She was able to capture our wedding without being right over our shoulder and blocking us from the guests during the ceremony. I really enjoyed working with Lara and her assistant, Winny, and look forward to working with her again in the future!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always striving for self-improvement. I take professional classes, attend seminars, and participate in forums. I also do free shots for friends and family in order to stay fresh, practice new techniques, and simply because I love it.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After shooting a friend's wedding, I realized that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I love photography and I love weddings. What more could a girl want?
