FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally I try to figure my price vs. time spent. One skilled person doing 4-8 hours of work usually cost $300-400 depending on skill being preformed. Larger jobs require accurate assessment and will be itemized fully in a estimate of cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally after the customer contact me, I or my foreman go to the residence, get a hands on view of the job before pricing, although simple trim installs can be figured at a by-the-foot price, but jobs that are all inclusive (including materials) have to be figured for materials and labor all in a effort to save the customer as much money as possible on a quality job. After speaking with the owner a estimate will be drawn up and sent by email, once approved the email becomes a invoice and needs to be signed off on to verify contract. All this can be done in a matter of seconds once a accurate price has been figured.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a 3rd generation carpenter and have always had a love for making things with my hands. I started residential construction for my father at age 16. Because of my high quality standards I only employ the most skilled and trusted employees that I have developed a personal bond with by spending 8-10 hours a day with on jobs over the years.
