Hired on Thumbtack
I hired Ms. Leo to clean a 4 bd 3 bath home. I provided the square footage. Initially she said she needed to see it, but didn’t show up. She said she would just be there the next week to clean. She showed up and then changed the price. I agreed to her new price because I still felt it was fair. She did a great job cleaning. The challenge came when she told me she was finished. I was working so I could not be there because I had to work and had my neighbor let her in. I was driving and explained that I would pay her as soon as I stopped. She then said I was not trying to pay her. I explained I have used Thumbtack for over 15 years and would never do that. I asked her to give me about 5 minutes to get to a place where I can stop and would Zelle her. She called twice after that. I was rushing so I didn’t get to put in what the service was for and asked for a receipt because I must have it for my records. She said she would send it. I sent her multiple messages asking for a receipt, but she has not responded. Again, great service as far as the hard work she did, but there is room to improve customer service.
