Feb 26, 2015VerifiedWilliam E. Miller ("Ed")'s replyThis was a surprise. The customer never raised any issues or expressed any concerns with us during or after our work. So I can only assume he was a little disappointed because we had to call him early that morning with a 2-hour delay due to very bad weather in our area (freezing rain / snow), even though the weather was not treacherous at his home in Rome. In La Fayette, GA that day, we had almost an inch of snow. FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I look, listen, and learn. Experience is the best teacher. And I've always been a very resourceful person. To paraphrase Henry Ford, if I don't know the answer to something, I know how to find the answer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? Many times in my life, a simple inquiry has led me to recognize an opportunity and pursue it. This is no different. And in a tough market in a tough economy, we don't always get to do what we like best to earn a living. But luckily, the services I've been able to offer have been enjoyable, and I can take a lot of pride in being able to help folks. We do the work we need to put food on the table for our families.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Moving services such as loading, unloading, and moving clients' personal property. Fence repair, removal, installation, and makeovers / revamping / upgrading. Cleaning out houses, yards, sheds, and mobile homes, and hauling away garbage and unwanted items. Serving landlords and owners and managers of real property / rental property / real estate. For the last several decades of my life, I've been an electronics engineering technician and I've worked with everyone from engineers to end users. Appliance, electrical, electronic, and home carpentry repairs have rounded out my experience.
