Arshavsky Music School
About this pro
Our intention is to continue and develop great traditions of Russian and European music education, and at the same time to accumulate the most productive ideas and experiences of the contemporary world of musical pedagogy. Our former and current students have been accepted to the world's leading music schools, such as Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School, Peabody Conservatory, and New England Conservatory and to the finest universities, such as Boston University, Massachussets Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Texas Christian University, Emory University, Duke University, Rice University, and other colleges, where many of them are majoring in music. Our young artists have successfully participated in international competitions, such as Tchaikovsky (Moscow, Russia), Jina Bachauer (Salt Lake City, UT), Puigcerda International (Spain), Atlanta International Piano Competition, Chopin National Competition (Miami, FL), Young Artist International Competition (Washington, DC), and Lee University Piano Competition (Cleveland, TN). For many years, they take the winning places at the Music Teachers National Association's Competitions (sponsored by MTNA Foundation, Baldwin, and Yamaha) in Georgia. One of our students was a winner of the Southern Division Young Artist Steinway Competition and became the national finalist twice.
