FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is competitive without giving up quality. American made products, where possible, high quality solar racking and quality balance of system components such as PV wire, conduit, combiner service panels and all required circuits.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Try to keep it simple. Work with the customer to understand their goals. Request 12 to 24 months worth of power bill history, the KW hrs used per month as well as the total $$ bill. Work up 3 to 4 system sizes for them ( for free ) and provide them with their power companies interconnect policy. Identify all permitting requirements. Then set aside time to answer all questions and concerns. Set a site visit prior to a providing a formal proposal to walk the property, look at the roof or land where system will go as well as inspect the electrical service panels to make sure there is room to add solar.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Extensive. Took numerous courses in 2009 to get Solar design and install certifications. Monthly training on existing products ( best practices for install ), training on new products as they come to market and have to learn the differences from the previous models. Direct manufacturers training on design installation and service for all products we install. Web based tutorials, Industry round tables where best practices and product challenges are worked trough. While training is important the real experience comes from installing. Every install is different with its own set of challenges. In 9 years we have never had the same install twice.
