Hitching Hearts creates personal ceremonies for perfect beginnings! I provide non-denominational, reliable officiating services for the Georgia and Florida areas. Call or email me today. At Hitching Hearts, I understand that each couple is unique and of course, very special. Your ceremony should be a reflection of you. Together, we will create a personalized ceremony full of romance; a ceremony that will help you to express your most heartfelt feelings on your very special day. It is the perfect beginning! I enjoy the privilege of uniting couples. I am an ordained non-denominational minister. I have performed the following: Traditional ceremonies, Christian ceremonies, Civil ceremonies, Interfaith ceremonies, Commitment and Same Sex ceremonies, Ceremonies involving children, and Ceremonies of vow renewals. The truly wonderful aspect about each ceremony is that there are no rules or limits on creativity, and each ceremony can be as unique as the couple it is intended for. I enjoy listening to each couple. I love interpreting their ideas, words, and feelings into something concrete, and assisting them to share their promises of love through ceremony with family and friends. I am a true romantic. I believe completely in marriage, joinings and commitments. As you co-create your unique ceremony design with Hitching Hearts, we will weave a tapestry that focuses on your love story as well as include possible readings, relevant rituals, music, and vows. You decide the tone that your ceremony will take lighthearted, spiritual, solemn, funny, or whatever you have imagined the perfect beginning to be. Kim at Hitching Hearts was the officiant for our wedding ceremony in Las Cruces. From the beginning, Kim was warm, open, always timely and helped us prepare for our special day. Kim provided several example soft copies of ceremonies and encouraged us to be creative and make our ceremony "ours". From the examples we molded ours, adding and subtracting as our hearts lead us. Kim reviewed our first draft of the ceremony and provided feedback based on experience. We had many close family members at our ceremony who provided many compliments on our wedding ceremony; the readings selected, about how warm and full of love the atmosphere was, how professional and personable our officiant was.

Kim of Hitching Hearts couldnt have been a more perfect person to perform our wedding in Las Cruces, NM. We initiated preparing for the big day with a phone call, then a couple of emails from Kim to gather some information about us to make the ceremony reflect our personalities and our personal tastes. She gave us choices as to locations which we scouted out beforehand. Kim showed up a few minutes before the ceremony to introduce herself and tell us about the ceremony which she had prepared into booklet form which she gave us afterwards as a remembrance of the day. Kim was a wonderful officiant! She worked with my husband and I on our vows, how the ceremony would work, what would be read, etc. Kim's services are all customized, and she has a great knowledge of different ceremonial customs (i.e. hand binding ceremony, sand ceremony, etc.). To top it all off, Kim is wonderful at communication (so those worried brides have a little less to worry about) and is very affordable! Thank you Kim for making my wedding a wonderful experience! It was just too perfect for words!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have 3 types of ceremony packages that I offer. The "DIY" Package and the "Let's Get It Done" Package (true elopement package) are priced the same at $200. These packages are created with information provided by the client and interpreted by Hitching Hearts into a beautiful ceremony. The "Sweetest" Package is the "bells and whistles" package. This package has no limits. What ever you dreamed of your ceremony, Hitching Hearts will make it happen. The price for this package is $250. Please note the following POSSIBLE add on fees: - nominal mileage fee if the destination is further than 75 miles - $100 rehearsal fee if one is requested - highly recommended - tolls or admission fees onto Islands or Resorts, etc - hotel accommodation if necessary - holiday rates can apply to certain dates, please see pricing guide
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained minister, and I have married literally hundreds of couples. I have been doing so since 2004. I am constantly attending continuing education to keep my skills honed and my ceremonies fresh. No two are ever the same; just as no two couples are ever the same. I have won multiple industry awards, magazine awards, and I have been recognized as a Top Wedding Officiant by multiple peer and client voting groups over the years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My best advice to couples looking for a quality Officiant is this..... your wedding day is all about you. You need, and deserve, a perfect beginning. Try to remember that your Officiant is the person who is going to help you to express your inner most feelings for each other. Talk to that person. Make sure they are a "fit". Make sure they are listening to you and what you want....you don't want to use someone who has their own agenda or is perhaps just "pulling the same 'ol tired ceremony out for each couple". Don't let price be the deciding factor when choosing an Officiant. If someone is not the cheapest choice, they are probably giving you much more in their efforts to make your ceremony very special. Finally, hire an Officiant that loves their job, one that believes in love and marriage in their own life as well as for others, one that can emmulate enthusiasm.....hire someone that can give you "a romantic ceremony for a perfect beginning!
