FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate starts at $75/hour. This flat rate is either for taking photos, shooting video or editing. I have this rate flat and not make it overwhelming comparing to other creative because I saw a niche in small events and people don't want to spend a large budget to capture their intimate memories. Keep in mind that for different project, editing time counted as well. For locations that are more than 25 miles from Stockbridge, GA, I also add travel fees.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I graduated college in 2019 with a major in Advertising and Public Relations ( I love branding work), and by then I already had 2 years experience in photography and video production. Photography has been with me since middle school, as my teenage self was obsessed with fashion photos. Videography came in my sophomore year in college, and my first work was a short 3 min narrative called Alone and Abroad, which became viral in Vietnam in 2018 (check out my video page on hiencreative.com). Since then, I've self-started a few other projects and then worked professionally to create stop-motion videos for an HR department, documentary film for non profit, then commercials, weddings and event coverage videos. Right now I've been freelancing for both photography and videography and I love every step of it
