- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each quote giving on Thumbtack is a rough estimate using the description given. Cost of painting is: -$300 for room sizes up to 500sqft -$400+ for room sizes 500sqft and up -$35-50 per drywall full sheet installation -additional cost for drywall repair, hanging and/or sanding. Cabinet painting ranges from $2-6 per square foot. In order to produce a more accurate quote, we will need to come on site and measure, and assess the site. 10% discount for Thumbtack clients
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We come in and measure the area needing the work. Then we give our client a full estimate of what it would cost to perform the job. Once the customer has decided to go with us, we then give the customer a materials list. The customer can either purchase the materials themselves or we can get the materials for them (which will be added into the final estimate). We then schedule a dare to begin job. A 30% deposit will be required to begin work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing this type of work after I left the Air Force. My father retired from law enforcement and wanted to start a family business. He has always worked on houses and has decades of knowledge that he has passed down to me. I started as a general contractor and over the years I realized that I had a passion for painting homes a little more than complete remodels and thus Peach State Painting Contractors was created.
