I cannot say enough positive things about the Calm the Chaos team! They transformed my daughter’s space in a single day from a crowded, chaotic mess into a serene place that she can enjoy. Their energy was so supportive and uplifting, it made a huge difference in my daughter’s attitude and willingness to work. Hire these people! You will not regret it! They have given my daughter her life back.

They were great! My garage was a mess, but I didn't have the time to clean. They came in and got everything sorted and cleaned. They were wonderful and if I ever need organizing, I will definitely use them again. Tip: before they come, get some clear storage containers/tubs for them to use to store in the area -make sure to measure to maximize space.

Mira and Alex are such an incredible team. Their communication before, during and after the job was much appreciated. They just so happened to be able to squeeze me in the very next day after I posted the job. We weren’t able to complete the entire apartment, it was a mass of clutter, however they did make it feel much more manageable and peaceful. They were happy to come back to complete the job and were willing to squeeze me in a few days later, which they projected would take another three appointments, however I was under strict time constraints and had to have it completed within two days so I called someone else in to keep working on my mess, but Mira and Alex made it so much better in the day they were there. I appreciate them having boundaries and prioritizing self-care! I have worked with others that pushed themselves passed what they should have, including working over night, and it was obvious by their work and attitude that they were resentful and took on more than they should have. Mira and Alex were very upfront about the importance of them honoring their energy and work hours. It was refreshing and something I wish more people did, including myself! If I were to sum it up, I would say working with these two was a lovely experience. They were also helpful, caring and patient with my daughter who is on the spectrum. The aura these two beautiful souls have is one you would definitely want to welcome into your home. I am so grateful beyond the great work they did in helping organize my space.

Mm mm mm…Listen, I couldn’t wait to type this review!!! Where do I start?! … Mira and Alex are ANGELS in human form! Okay?! … I feel like 1 MILLION tons of stress just lifted off of my physical and mental being!!!!!They completed a total detox of my chaotic 1500sqft apartment. I’m a high professional, single mother of 2 athletically and academically active boys… Mira and Alex created systems that made my home more efficient and effective for me and the kiddos. Now my kiddos are more self sufficient because every item has a home… What a healing, transformative effect their work produces… I didn’t anticipate the therapeutic and positive energy shift their work and presence would bring to my environment. It brought me to tears. I feel lite as a feather and Frreeee of environmental stress!!!! It was worth it… life changing experience… I’m so grateful I chose them over all the others! I’m not sure people understand how emotional purging your stuff can be and how freeing it is to purge. These professionals understand all of it and are the most non-judgmental people I’ve met. I tried for years to purge and tidy a little at a time. That approach simply doesn’t work. Hire these professionals and get your life in order.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard rate is $75/hr per organizer and we work as a team of two organizers to expedite your project. Ballpark figure: Many jobs take about 5 hours x $150/hr = $750. We find that most of our clients want the job done as quickly as possible, so we optimize your experience by bringing Alex's downsizing / decluttering expertise and Mira's systems setup and interior design expertise. The work gets done TWICE as fast as if you were just working with a solo organizer.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Your booking starts with a phone call to get acquainted and see if we feel like a fit to work together. Then, we'll set you up with a first-time organizing session of 5 to 8 hours. Your organizers will assess your home or space and get started! Expect domestic miracles and impressive before / after photos! After the first session, we'll estimate how much longer our engagement will be. It depends on the density of clutter and how engaged the homeowner (you) can be with us. Most clients work with us between 1-10 sessions; 5 to 8 hours each visit. You can book organizing days one at a time until the job is complete. Once we've had a few sessions, you might even get inspired to work on your own between visits! The goal is to set you up to where you can maintain this new skillset and level of ease for LIFE!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mira is a certified professional life coach with 10 years experience and she is pursuing credentials with the National Association of Professional Organizers. Alex grew up in a hoarder home and has a lifetime of experience with the psychological and hands-on realities of decluttering. She is also pursuing credentials with the National Association of Professional Organizers.
