This is my first time ever working with a Dog Trainer. Vanessa is honest, knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, and very open to communication. She treats Leo like hes Special. And as his mommy, I appreciate that. She trained my husband and I as much as she trained our pup. The lessons were effective, flexible, and never rushed. Vanessa always told us what she wanted us to use, and checked with us so that we were always on the same page. If we didnt have what we needed, we used hers until we did ,because she wants to make sure that everyone has the tools for success. She made the experience personal and yet remained professional. I highly recommend her and we are signing up for a second set of lessons to continue helping our baby grow and mature responsibly. We trust Vanessa with Leo and that is the highest recommendation we can provide.

We are incredibly grateful to Vanessa for the amazing work she has done with our puppy, Snoopy. From the very first session, Vanessa was structured, patient, and truly attentive to Snoopys personality and needs.Thanks to Vanessa, Snoopy has made tremendous progress with leash manners, potty training, and socialization. Walks are now enjoyable instead of stressful, accidents have significantly decreased, and Snoopy is much more confident and well-behaved around other dogs and people.Vanessa didnt just train Snoopy she educated us as well. Vanessa is amazing and we are SO thankful to have found her! I don't know where we would have been without her guidance and training. Training two puppies from the same litter is not easy and she has done so with professionalism and patience. She has easily worked with each dog's personality and we could see the changes immediately. She also teaches us so much in the process and is always available to ask questions. Our pups are happier, more well behaved and follow commands. I would HIGHLY recommend Vanessa and Pup's & Paws Dogtraining.

My husband and I originally planned to take the easier route and send our large-breed dog to a board-and-train program. But once we learned about the potential downsides and how disconnected that approach can be, we decided we wanted to be a real part of his learning and growth. Were so grateful we found Vanessa, and were even more grateful that we made the choice to train with our dog rather than outsource it.From day one, my husband kept saying how much he appreciates hernot just because she trains our dog, but because she teaches us. She helps us understand his feelings, emotions, and behaviors on a level we never wouldve reached on our own.Our boy is strong, stubborn at times, and had several common behavioral issues that felt overwhelming. Vanessa is an amazing dog trainer. She helped me with my new dog, Teddy (2 years old). While I had been exposed to dog ownership with our family dog, I wasnt prepared to have my own as much as I thought I was.I adopted Teddy from a rescue shelter and had to learn a lot about owning my own dog. He had been potty trained, but still needed other behavioral and obedience training.I reached out to Vanessa to do some home training sessions, but soon, I realized that with my job position, I couldnt do that so I opted to do the board and train.Vanessa did a great job training Teddy and sending me photos and videos to see the progress as well as guidelines to follow at home. Once the board and train was finished, we had some at-home sessions to review what Teddy had learned and continue it at home.Teddy gets distracted easily so Vanessa is great at keeping him engaged.She genuinely cares and wants you to have an easier, yet, efficient time working with your dog. She works with you while learning both your personality and your dogs so she can better teach you and make specific recommendations based on your individual needs. She also goes above and beyond to accommodate you as best as she can whether through various training tools, places to train your dog, or even scheduling conflicts.When possible, she offers group sessions, which are fun, engaging, and helpful. They really help to train your dog around other dogs as well as teaching them to interact well with one another.I highly recommend Vanessa for your dog training needs!!
