That’s when it’s time to consider hiring an experienced professional dog trainer. While there are dog training programs at some of the box stores, most of the time, they don’t produce the results you want due to all the distractions (other dogs, other people, all the things to smell, etc.). We only give you focused training for maximum effect. At Pup’s & Paws Dog Training, we offer a variety of ways to train your dog. Our staff can come to you and work with you and your dog in as many sessions as you need to help you learn how to train your dog. We also provide drop-in training without the pet owner, which gives you a combination of training and pet care. Virtual dog training sessions are also available in some cases. We do not use punishment tools, such as prong/ pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or choke chains. Punishment tools like these are not only less effective than positive training methods. But they can also increase a dog´s fearfulness & aggression.

Vanessa was great, from her phone call to introduce herself, discuss what my goals for training are, setting the appointment and arriving early (calling to see if earlier is convenient for me, I said “Great!” My dog listened to her and she was very knowledgeable and patient. We will continue training with her for sure!!!

Let me start off by saying if I could give Vanessa 6 stars I would! She successfully helped my 6-month-old Golden Doodle with behaviors such as loose leash walking, greeting people at the door, and avoiding jumping on guests. Prior to training, my puppy struggled with containing his emotions, often resulting in excited urination and difficulty walking without pulling or being highly distracted. Through Vanessa's patient and customized approach, my pup made significant progress in a short time. With her guidance, my dog now walks calmly beside me and greets guests politely. She also gave me lots of tips and tricks to keep up with training and working on other behaviors once training ended. Lastly, I didn't feel overwhelmed with all of the information she gave us, she made things very digestible and easy to understand. I highly recommend Vanessa; she's knowledgable, responsive, and has a very effective training style to address multiple behavioral challenges.

Vanessa is Amazing!! She helped my pup with everything from “come” to not jumping on guests when they come through the door. Even more convenient, she comes to you!!! That was the huge win for me. Her packages are very reasonable with the ability to add more sessions as your dog grows and develops new habits.

Vanessa was fantastic and taught our new puppy new things at the meet and greet. She is very patient and offers different tactics and is adaptable to the dog. Would highly recommend and will use her in the near future.

I was really pleased with Vanessa’s dog training! She is very sweet and punctual. She taught me a lot in a short period of time. Of course a lot of my results will require consistency from me, but at least now I know where to start! I would definitely recommend her!
