Michael Moon studio is a renowned muralist group that has been specializing in commercial and residential murals and hand-painted signs since 2016. Our team comprises talented fine artists, graphic designers, and illustrators who can create various types of murals and designs to cater to the diverse needs of our clients. Michael was very responsive in thumbtack, by email, and by phone. We met first to discuss the concept and for him to measure the area to be painted, after I sent him several sample pictures. It took him only about a week to complete the ceiling and wall for my daughter’s room, with a beautiful night sky and a unicorn/Pegasus family. He was willing to edit the horses several times until I was satisfied, as well. I think it would have been better if I had already put everything together into an exact piece to be painted on the wall, but ultimately it turned out great.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price range varies by different factors and style of the mural. Although, the ball park number is around $10-$25/sf.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before actual meeting, I provide the rates and my portfolio so the clinets understand the idea of budgetting and quality of work. Once they approve, I meet with them at the site and discuss the scale, concept and quality of the project. Than I provide the quote of the entire project and time frame.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Ringling school of art and design in Sarasota, FL and got a BFA degree in Fine art. Painting and Sculpture.
