Introduction: I use an individualized approach to tutoring that addresses the needs of the specific needs of the student. As opposed to a one size fits all model, I get to know my students learning styles. I identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and then I develop a learning plan customized to the specific needs of the student. I follow through with parents and student to ensure our work is effective, and I work to meet the ongoing needs of the student. Building confidence in students by giving them opportunities to be successful in their work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to having my Master's in Educational Leadership, I continue to read the latest education magazines, such as Education Weekly.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from a long line of teachers and I've been working with children since I was young. It was at that point that I knew I wanted to be a teacher.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My determination of my effectiveness as a teacher is how the child responds to the lesson. If you hire me and after the first couple of sessions, your student doesn't feel more confident about his or her learning, then we'll work together to figure out why it's not working or I'll help you find another tutor.
