Kari Callaway

Introduction: I teach beginner to mid-advanced piano and voice students in the basic mechanics of their chosen field with lessons in music, theory, and performance. I have more than 16 years of experience in teaching and have worked with both individuals and groups in areas that range from individual instruction to competition, recitals, concerts, and full scale musicals. I have been a region coordinator for GISA (Georgia Independent School Association) for two years, overseeing One Act Play competitions, as well as literary events. Many of my students won in region competitions and went on to place or even win in state competitions. I have worked with K4 through 12th grade students the past six years on musical education, musical performance, chorale singing, concert performance, full-scale musicals, and individual coaching. I love working with young people and am as excited about their musical discoveries as they are. I believe learning music and appreciating it in all its forms adds a richness and depth to our character, as well as aiding in other educational pursuits. Quite simply, I love, love music!
