I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Bentz and Weathersby last August after moving . All MY SONS moving company was TERRIBLE and damaged multiple pieces of furniture that had to be repaired by their furniture repair company, Bentz and Weathersby.
A Maitland Smith dining room sideboard table had all of the legs broken and the top was so damaged that it had to be refinished at their shop. When I finally received my sideboard table back after 2 MONTHS in their care the repairs to the legs were great and the refinished top looked great, too, but after a couple of months the whole top started cracking and turning white. I called the owner, Steve, and he agreed to another attempt at repairing my sideboard table. After 3 additional weeks, the table was delivered to my front door covered in black dust, and, it had more scratches across the top. It appears that nothing had been done to repair the table. I think it just sat in their warehouse uncovered and unprotected for 3 weeks. I immediately called the owner and he told me there was nothing that he could do, however, I could send the table back again for a third time. At this point, I said forget it.
The other damaged furniture from the move was repaired at my house. Most of the damage was in the form of where the wood was crushed or damaged . The repair guy that came out just sanded my wood furniture where the damage was, and left it like that. They had to come out 2 more times to try and fix the sanded furniture.
I also had a antique coffee table that had a broken leg and needed to be refinished. I thought this was the perfect time to have it done; BIG MISTAKE. After paying $275 and having the coffee table back for a few months the leg completely fell off again; that was glued on and the top is also cracking like the sideboard table.
This company did a horrible job on all my furniture; basically, ruined it. Now, I am going to have all the furniture repaired again at my expense. I wish I could attach the pics of their HORRIBLE work.
