Dmitriy was amazing. Not only did he respond to my Thumbtack in under three minutes, he scheduled the appointment right after for next day. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way, surveyed the work area and got all of the information he needed to finish the job. After a quick trip to the Home Depot, he fixed my issue in no time! He was amazing at answering all of my questions, walked me through the maintenance after installation, and quelled most of the hesitation I had regarding using Thumbtack for the first time. He did an amazing job, and I now have a general handyman I can call for multiple projects. Not to mention he was super affordable and extremely communicative for the entire time he was here. I used Dmitriy to do some handy work such as install light fixture, smoke detectors, thermostat, etc. He realized I was in the process of getting my floors redone from carpet to hardwood. He pitched himself so I told him he could give a quote because I had solicited for others on this site. I told him I had someone in mind but wanted a couple other quotes. He told me he charged $3/sqft while at my home. On the following day, he submitted a quote charging $4/sqft. I asked about it, so he politely decided to change it and resubmitted the quote. I reviewed it and compared it to what I had. I decided to go with a company that has a history of installing floors on a daily basis and has great reviews plus they give a one year warranty on their work. I could see their work. He had no reviews demonstrating flooring. The price was about the same. It made sense. I informed him of this. He respond the next day saying he understood. He also sent two pics of a flooring job incomplete and a laundry room that had wood planks installed on the walls. I told him I still wanted to continue the other work left undone i.e. door install, door knobs, etc. He didn’t respond any more. That’s been a week now. It’s giving he felt entitled to get the flooring job and when I selected someone else, he said screw you. TF is this! 😊 He was a nice guy. Professional until he wasn’t. I am glad he showed me who he is! I definitely don’t want to spend my money with arrogant entitled folks like him. Thank you!

I wanted to share a quick update about a customer situation. I had done some work for her previously, and everything went well. However, when I provided her with a quote for some flooring, she decided to go with another contractor. She got the impression that I was upset about it, which wasn’t the case.
There was a small misunderstanding because I didn’t reply to one of her texts right away. She mentioned she was waiting for an interior door to arrive, so I didn’t want to bother her until that was sorted. I also left her a voicemail to apologize if it seemed like I was ignoring her, but she never got back to me.
In the end, everything was fine, and I just wanted to make sure that she knows there are no hard feelings and that I’m always here if she needs anything in the future.
