FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a client is hired and we draw up a contract, I have them do a thorough questionnaire. In addition, I will ask for medical history. I will then spend 2 to 3 hours reviewing everything and coming up with a plan to help my client achieve their goals. We will only work on one thing at a time as anything more is counterproductive. This way it is always manageable and never overwhelming.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's in Foods and Nutrition and I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist. The difference between a Dietitian and a regular Nutritionist is that a Dietitian has to finish a 4-year Bachelor's Degree, which includes doing all the Pre-Med classes, do a 1200+ hour internship, pass a national standardized exam, and become licensed. A regular Nutritionist can pay a $150 for a weekend seminar and become "certified".
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started getting into nutrition when I was an athlete in high school. So I've been at this for 12+ years.
