About
As a home educator and handwork teacher, I have found that the process of transitioning raw materials into beautiful and purposeful masterpieces is a valuable skill for the development of the child and human. Through the lessons of a variety of handwork such as sewing, knitting, spinning, bookmaking, or felting the child grows in motor skills, will power, attention, and design. It is a joy to bring these sometimes lost art skills to the child in a way that blends both the educational and therapeutic work of the child with the craft of handwork.

Heather is amazing!! She is so passionate about handwork and passing on her skills to children. She lead our homeschool group of 5-12 year olds in knitting, book binding, weaving, and embroidery! She even showed the kids how to spin wool into yarn! She was so patient and kind and her enthusiasm for the crafts was so motivating for the kids! I’m so grateful to have found her to teach my kids all these skills I wish I had when I was young.
