Introduction: Hi! Thanks for contacting me! First & foremost, I work to instill self-confidence in all who study with me. My singing, voice/speech, public speaking, songwriting, and accent reduction instruction are very personalized and unique to each student, and I've taught all ages from 6 - 90. I'm currently located in the Atlanta area. I have decades of experience in all the above fields including Broadway theatre, keynote public speaking, voice overs in all the media, gold & platinum recordings as the artist & songwriter, and countless live performances. I've taught all these skills for over 30 years privately and at schools in New York and S. California such as the Orange County School of the Arts, Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College, University of California/San Diego, The Performers Academy, Child Actor LA and The Paul Merage School of Business at University of California/Irvine. Questions? Feel free to contact me at any time. I want you to be comfortable & motivated. I love helping people achieve their goals. I have the patience & inborn know-how to do that, plus lots of experience, so I can deal with any kind of problem and find a solution. I try to keep it light, too, so it can be a fun learning experience.

ESL (English as a Second Language) Lessons

I reached out to Beverly, as I was teaching my mother English and didn’t know how to make certain sounds. On our first call, as I was talking to her and she immediately pointed out what I needed to work on; then I knew she is EXACTLY the teacher that I’m looking for. She is professional, accurate, patient, and especially fun to work with. I really enjoyed learning from her, and I’d highly recommend her!

Voice Over Lessons

Miss Beverly has been a joy to work with! My 7 year old has more confidence in public speaking and has been using all the tools she shared to develop a strong vocal presence. Each lesson builds on the other so there’s great continuity and Miss Beverly gives great constructive suggestions. It was my son’s first formal lesson in voiceovers, and she was such a pleasure to work with and learn from.

Thanks for the great review, Laurel! Elio was such a pleasure to work with! He's a natural-born actor. :-) I hope he'll continue his acting/voice acting pursuits, because he's got what it takes to be successful. All my best to you both!

Voice Over Lessons

Working with Beverly was so enjoyable! She certainly knows the business and I enjoyed that she shared some of her personal experiences with me. She pushed me out of my comfort zone a couple of times, but that is just what I needed! I definitely would recommend her to others. In fact, I will probably continue with more lessons when my first session is complete.

Public Speaking Lessons

I’ve been taking regular lessens with Beverly. The lessons and learning have been very valuable. I’ve already made and noticed improvements with my speaking and presentation skills. On top of that Beverly has also coached me with on camera skills for virtual presentations. I highly recommend Beverly if you’re looking to speak better and/or present better both online and offline.

Voice Over Lessons

I had a wonderful time at Voicercise! Beverly was awesome to work with and was very upfront about where I could improve and how to do so. Taking just 8 classes with Beverly changed my perspective entirely. There are many unseen intricacies to the voice over business and Beverly pointed them out and guided me through them. Wonderful experience!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices are based on an hourly lesson, but I offer a free lesson if 8 lessons are paid for in advance.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to get to know the student as a person first, then find out what experience or training they may have had and what they're goals are. I'll then get right to work on improving their skills, along with building their confidence in themselves.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a working professional for 40+ years and teaching it throughout my career. As a singing/acting instructor, I studied with Carlo Mennotti at Carnegie Hall, graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and studied with multiple teachers at such institutions as HB Studio, Stella Adler, & Estelle Harman. I studied accent reduction with Dr. Arthur Compton & Dr. David Allen Stern.
