We did 10 weeks of swimming with Ua for My son (8) & his best friend (9) at our pool at home. Both boys were swimmers but not confident swimmers. The year before we did 3 rounds of swimming (level 2) at the YMCA and while it was good for him to learn the basics, I think it was hard because the instructor has to divide that time among 6 kids. So doing a more private lesson was the way to go because I wanted my son to feel confident in our pool but also when he went swimming anywhere else. By week 3 both boys were totally different much better swimmers. He went from only swimming in areas he could still touch the floor to swimming the length of our pool. As the weeks went on the boys were eager to get in the pool 15-20 minutes early and would do “20 laps before Uncle Ua got here” it was a must. I loved watching their confidence build and their dedication to practicing what they were learning from him. Not only do they learn to swim but he also teaches them and talks to them about water safety, both in the pool and at the beach. If you’re thinking about it BOOK THE LESSON you’ll be happy you did.

Ya was an amazing teacher to my 2.5 yr old son. He was gentle and nurturing. My son usually gets distracted very easily but he was able to teach him the skills needed to swim. Highly recommend him!

Uncle Ua is amazing swim teacher! He is gentle, patient, very attentive, knowledgeable and all around soo great with kids and adults alike. He had our 4 year old out of her floatie within minutes of her first lesson and in just 10 half hour lessons he’s taught her to swim the length of the pool by herself. He’s instilled confidence in water, water safety while continuing to make every experience fun and educational. We happy would recommend Uncle Ua to anyone and plan on continuing lessons with him for years to come.
