FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm trying something new. Typically a studio yoga class is anywhere from $12-$18 and a private session is between $60-$100+. Many people feel they can't afford these services. As someone who has never really had a surplus of money I would like to offer my services for donation. That means I'm trusting you to support me and you're trusting me to support you in your healing process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since my initial 200hr training I've gone on to pursue the study of sanskrit with Dharma Widmann, Ayurveda, and a 500hr training through the Himalayan Institute.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Yoga sort of found me. I'd always been interested in yoga. After I moved away from home I started studying on my own, checking out books from the library, and the occasionally DVD. When I moved to Hawaii my interest exploded. I started taking classes and having yoga parties with my friends. I decided to take the 200hr training with no plan of teaching. After I completed the training one of my teachers asked why I wasn't teaching yet. I didn't have a good answer and felt at moral conflict with my current job so I started teaching and now I can't stop.
